Hogan, Farry Announce Green Light-Go Grant for Middletown Township

HARRISBURG – Rep. Joe Hogan (R-Bucks) and Sen. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) today announced that Middletown Township has been awarded a $562,564 grant through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Green Light-Go program.

This funding will be used for traffic signal modernization at the intersection of Lincoln Highway and I-95 southbound ramps A/B-1 and Lincoln Highway and I-95 northbound ramps C/D-1.

“This funding will be a huge help toward Middletown Township’s goal of improving safety around Lincoln Highway,” said Hogan. “These modernizations will ensure our roads are safer for drivers and residents across this portion of Middletown Township and lessen traffic issues on this portion of Lincoln Highway.”

“Modernizing this traffic signal will reduce congestion and improve the flow of traffic at this busy intersection, making the roads safer for Middletown Township residents and everyone traveling through the community,” said Farry. “I’m pleased to see this investment for this important safety enhancement.”

Green Light-Go grants are provided as reimbursements to municipalities for projects that improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals. These projects are funded through the FY 2026–27 budget. Eligible improvements include, but are not limited to, installation of light-emitting diode (LED) technology, traffic signal retiming, special-event traffic planning, traffic signal monitoring and upgrades to modern signal technologies.
