Hogan, Farry Announce Over $2.8 Million in TASA Funding for Middletown Township Projects
May 13, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Joe Hogan (R-Bucks) and Sen. Frank Farry (R-Bucks) announced today that over $2.8 million in grant funding has been awarded to projects based in Middletown Township from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) through the federal Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program (TASA).
The projects receiving funding are as follows:
- The Bucks County Planning Commission has been awarded $1.4 million to construct the Frosty Hollow Trail in Middletown Township. The trail in question will begin at the entrance of Frosty Hollow Road and end at Upper Orchard Road. It will be a 0.9-mile segment of trail connecting the county-owned Frosty Hollow Park and Middletown Township's Upper Orchard Park.
- Middletown Township has been awarded $1.5 million to construct three new sidewalk segments to close critical gaps along Woodbourne Road. The project will provide a continuous, ADA-accessible pedestrian route linking residential areas, the Woodbourne SEPTA Station, and Oxford Valley Mall, improving safety and connectivity for commuters, visitors and residents.
“This major investment in transportation infrastructure will benefit the entire 142nd District,” Hogan said. “The more than $2.8 million in funding will strengthen trail connections between our parks and improve walkways to the Woodbourne SEPTA Station. These upgrades will provide meaningful quality-of-life improvements for our community.”
“This $2.8 million investment will improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity throughout Middletown Township,” said Farry. “These projects will make it easier and safer for residents and commuters to access parks, public transportation and local destinations throughout our community.”
TASA is a federal program that provides funding for projects and activities defined as transportation alternatives, including on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities; infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility; community improvement activities; environmental mitigation; trails that serve a transportation purpose; and safe routes to school projects.
