Hogan Announces Funding for Area Infrastructure Projects
February 27, 2025
HARRISBURG – Rep. Joe Hogan (Bucks) today announced that two infrastructure projects in the 142nd District have received funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Automated Red-Light Enforcement (ARLE) program.
The projects that have received funding are as follows:
- Penndel Borough has received $350,990 for traffic signal modernization at the intersection of Durham Road (Route 2049) and Lincoln Highway (Route 2037).
- Northampton Township has received $760,100 to improve pedestrian safety and operational efficiency at the intersections of Buck Road (Route 532) and Middle Holland Road/Stoney Ford Road, as well as Buck Road and East Village Road/West Village Road.
“With the ever-increasing number of vehicles on our roads, these two projects will help to make them safer for both drivers and pedestrians while improving efficiencies,” said Hogan.
Pennsylvania’s ARLE program aims to improve safety at signalized intersections by providing automated enforcement at locations where data shows red-light running has been an issue. Projects were selected by an eight-member committee based on criteria such as safety benefits and effectiveness, cost, and local and regional impact.
